A hard conversation with one's self. Deep in the midst of my morning meditation and then journal scribbling, this came............
. What's my truth? . Well, hell. There's so many layers of truths. The roots go deep. . So I went for a VERY long walk into the woods. A girl and her dog, makes for time well spent. I pondered this question. Listened to the slight breeze, whistling through the trees. The sun, coming and going in between the vast sky of clouds. We walked. And talked. I swear, my dog is the BEST listener. . I came to this... . Each of us have been given an aspiration, dream, vision, purpose, passion or mission. It's something that calls upon our hearts, no matter where we go in life. It never goes away. You might set it aside, temporarily. It may go on the back burner. You might even momentarily forget that dream, but it's still there. Just buried in the rubble of life. . At some point....it calls us ALL back. It's that nagging feeling in your heart, that just won't shut the hell up until you at least acknowledge it.. . Here's that turning point. That TRUTH. Your truth. My truth. Our truths. . You can.... . Continue pretending you don't hear a damn thing. PS. It won't stop nagging! . Acknowledge it and tell it "later". . Question it. Maybe it's NO longer your 'thing'. Maybe it's time to let that vision go and open space for something completely NEW. . OR, maybe it's finally time to say "I'm ready!" . It's in that moment, you'll know your own truth. It may be a scary moment. BIG truths, require monumental leaps of faith. . Today my truth - Be a voice. Stand strong. Don't ever back down. Root for the under.dog. Care less about what others think and MORE about serving those who truly need the support! . Truths - It's scary to listen & take action. BUT it's death from the inside out, to not do anything at all. .

I'm Shel....
I scribble about business & life after 50. I've got no time for BS, bad coffee or crappy relationships! Profanity is a wonderful stress management TOOL. I use it often. Archives
