What's your WHY? It is the backbone behind our dreams & the courage to keep going.

MY HUGE WHY

I write in the morning always, but for some reason when something is brewing inside my soul, it simmers away most of the day and comes to full rolling boil at night..Go figure!

This was my response to an intensive journaling course I took:

I LOVED THIS ONE! It was fun, it's filled with huge dreams, goals & desires. Fears around being able to put it all together...But it thoroughly allowed me the luxury to explain my huge WHY'S & WHAT I would LOVE it to look like and more importantly HOW I want folks to FEEL.

So let me get started:

Every morning I wake up thrilled to work because I know in my heart my biz is impacting every day folks lives in a profound, realistically helpful way. My biz is financially secure because I have various streams of income on board so all my eggs aren't teetering in one basket. I still live simple, because I love it! No TV, no tech gadgets, gardens, canning, making homemade soap & cleaning products, composting, making my own jewelry, cooking meals from scratch, etc. My dream amount for biz revenue: $2 million a year, in which $1,900,000 goes back into my biz.

My business has a "real" physical space! It's one part cafe (awesome coffee from Coffee by Designs (Local Company-Small Biz of the Year 2014!!) One part local Art for sale on the walls, One part Coaching/Workshops/Classes/Seminars/Courses etc. It's got comfy couches, chairs, large tables for having meetings. It's a place where the blue collar, hard working soul looking for a better way, meets the successful self employed biz owner for mentoring, support, ideas and idle chit chat. It's where all walks of life come together to build a community that empowers ALL to be great!

The workshops are part practical/back to basics with a strong emphasis on Small Business opportunities. A space where you can get information, resources, networking, mentoring & coaching. We encourage teaching, growing, and supporting one another no matter what level you are at in your life! My common thread: A comfortable setting where Growth, Support & Community empower each individuals financial & emotional prosperity.

It's a truth. When basic financial needs are met, people move beyond victim mode, to survival mode to THRIVING mode much easier. When those needs are met, folks contribute more to a thriving community and are much happier in the their own personal lives! It's a win/win!

I would probably still work long hours because it's more than a passion for me. I guess you could call it a revolutionary calling? So long hours by choice. Because I love what I do, and more importantly WHY.

Yes I do want a vacation-2 to be exact. One for a month, because winter in Maine is simply torture on me! I would love to own a small cottage in South Carolina somewhere country & coastal (if it's possible to find that for a reasonable penny today). I would go there for a month, and then use the space to offer for retreats for Women Empowerment. For many personal reasons, I want women to realize how urgent it is to always be able to take care of themselves, financially, emotionally & physically!

I would have kick butt team of leaders who need very little direction for two reasons.

1) they are leaders, who lead from their hearts!
2) they have the same visions to profoundly impact communities where we empower each other, no matter where we are at or where we come from!

The company is funded by a mix of:

Workshops, Seminars, Webinars, E-Courses, Re-treats, E-book sales, Local Donations, Contributions from local businesses, & fund raising events.

Our workshops include everything from Basic Life Skills, Financial Skills, Budgeting, Grow your money workshops to Small Business Basics, Resources etc.

The idea is to serve MORE (always with the thought "IS this going to serve my clients best) By serving more, it will allow me to keep the cost super, awesomely affordable for the average Jane.

Ex. Intro to Small Business Ideas (For the person who is exploring the concept of starting their own)

3 HOUR Workshop $50 per person - 50 folks max. (Split into 5 groups of 10 for more individual work) =$2500.

Much easier way to impact many people, giving them all supportive, important, relative and always helpful information while still keeping it at a price point that someone who is making $9.00 an hour can afford.

Did I mention I would love a 78 VW Cabriolet Convertible to fix up. Preferably in sunshiney YELLOW. That's my big expenditure!

Every time you walk into a Walmart, Goodwill, McDonalds, Best Buy ask them if they love their job? Are you happy doing what your doing? Does this job financially support your dreams & goals? Engage in conversation. Build rapport, be genuine, be interested in how you can change your backyard by helping others to help themselves. We have awesome information, learning to leverage for the greater good is sometimes a challenge. Not everyone is up for the challenge. But it is mine.

What many people do not understand is that not everyone is raised with a great self belief system. So the person working at the gas station doesn't think that they have access to a greater life. They are following in the footsteps of those before them. Even though it didn't create abundance & happiness for them, many folks dismiss it as..."It's just life." That's how so many folks fall so far from their dreams, if they even give themselves the luxery to dream at all.

If I could just ask a favor...

Next time you are somewhere, where you know the payrate is horrible, the person doesn't look happy or they look sad, Ask yourself "How can I make an impact to help them see they are awesome & gifted & more importantly that they have the power to use those gifts to change their lives."

Every person we meet should be left feeling better than when we first arrived.

Long winded....Huge dreams!
Thanks again for your never ending support, love & kindness!
Shelley
