Google Definition of Practicality
Practicality has gotten a bad rap over the years. It's been thrown under the bus with terms such as mediocrity, normal and boring. Though I must say, simplicity is making a strong come back! YES!
If you really read the definition above, you will clearly see that practicality and mediocrity are in completely different circles. For the person who's life is out of control, constant drama and upside down, practicality with simplicity offers a sure fit to re-gaining control over your own life.
Really, the same can be said for business. How many courses have you taken to learn something you are unsure of? How many businesses books have you read, because you feel if you learn one more thing you will be certain of the process and the outcome will be more certain? If only you had signed up for that other webinar, you would have this and that all figured out? Does any of this ring true? One more class, book, webinar, email signup or following one more guru?
It's absolutely true that we are always going to be learning something new. That's the amazing part of life. But to constantly be on a never ending search for something to fix, remedy or create certainty is a never ending search. The sucky part, once you get on the damn roller-coaster ride, it's pretty friggen hard to get off. You get hooked into always wanting one more thing. You stop trusting your own judgement. Whether it be life or business.
Practicality is simply DOING that next thing and creating an amazing experience for yourself while your doing it and for the person you are creating it for. You want practicality in all your business and life structures. When you are creating a new program, you want it DOABLE and you want your client to have the experience of a life time. So absurdly simple, yet we get caught up in a complicated strategy and lots of self doubt. If you are enjoying the process of doing, chances are your client will have the same experience. Over-complicate it, get frustrated, confused, distracted by what this or that guru says it should be and you will surely find yourself not doing your project easily and you will have a poor experience. Most certainly your clients will do the same!
How do you achieve practicality? Simplicity is key!
This is so true for life and business. Simplicity is a really easy to do strategy. Whether you are adding simplicity to business or life, follow this little tip:

Whatever floats your boat, is what you need to add into your life to grow and nurture the seeds you have planted.
